The Berkeley Food Institute(BFI) wanted to do their part to try and encourage the food and restaurant community to get out and vote. Partnering with Vote.org, BFI created a campaign to both encourage foodies to vote and to order takeout in their local communities. We created a simple brand around the hashtag #TakeoutTheVote, built a website that includes tools via Vote.org, and included downloadable posters and social media graphics for both restaurants and patrons. The website encourages people to check their voter registration, register to vote, and request a mail-in ballot.
The website is basically a one-page site with key sections: voter tools, partners (restaurants), and resources. The voter tools allow folks to check their voter registration status, register to vote, and request a ballot. The tools were create by vote.org, who are a collaborator in the campaign to encourage access to voting.
Posters
Free for download and printable in both standard Letter and Tabloid sizes, restaurants can download and post in their window.
Social Media
Various graphics available to download for restaurants and patrons alike can post and share their support for their community and encourage their peers to vote. Graphics made in English and Spanish.
